STAGE 2: REPEL ATTACKERS
The second phase of Starbase Fleet Defense is a direct attack
on the starbase structure in the middle of the map. Healers
should focus on keeping the starbase’s shields up and repair-
ing bleed-through damage. Use tactical teams to distribute the
shield facings of the starbase towards where it’s being attacked,
and use Extend Shields/Transfer Shield Strength to repair shield
facings. The starbase will take *massive* amounts of damage,
so it’s important to keep heals on the starbase at all times, even
if it appears to be doing alright. It’s very important to keep the
shields up and distributed towards attackers. DPS ships should
split up into quadrants and clear all attackers coming from that
direction. (Alpha - East, Bravo - West, Charlie - North, Delta -
South). Keep the starbase healed up and as close to 100% as
you can for best results.
STAGE 3: DEFEAT SABOTEURS
When the starbase is secure, head back out to the satellite
structures where you were before (Alpha - Industrial Fabricator,
Bravo - Comm Array, Charlie - Transwarp Gate, Delta - Ship-
yard.) Once again, two waves will warp in, but this time they
are going to attack the facility. Unfortunately, healing abilities
do NOT work to heal these structures. The best way to ensure
that the facility stays in good repair is to target the battleships
first. They will be easily noticeable because of the progress bar
by their name. Players with Tractor Beam Repulsors may use
this ability to push the battleships away from their target. Kill
battleships, then all the rest. If the facility becomes damaged,
beam over damage control teams to repair the facility. Once
again, when your facility is safe, move on to help other teams,
and then head back to the starbase.
STAGE 4: DEFEAT SIEGE DREADNAUGHTS
The final phase of Starbase Fleet Defense is the last ditch as-
sault on the Starbase. The enemy will throw everything they
have at the base. The primary targets during this phase are
four Siege Dreadnaughts. Like the previous phase, they will be
easily identifiable by progress bars near the name. A combina-
tion of knocking the Siege Dreadnaughts out of range with
Tractor Beam Repulsors and straight up DPS will remove these
main damage dealers from the picture and allow the DPS ships
to focus on clearing up the rest of the enemy fleet. Healing in
this phase is done exactly as in the previous phase where the
main starbase was attacked. The healing will be even more
important, as the Siege Dreadnaughts will do a ton of damage
until they’re killed. If the shields fail, the starbase will die -very-
quickly. Use a combination of tactical teams and shield heals to
keep the shields up, and hull heals to deal with bleedthrough
damage. As before, the better condition of the starbase will lead
to better results. When this phase ends, the mission is over and
the Fleet Marks will be rewarded. Congratulations!
