With many more uniform options now added
to the game, and the Starbase Featured Pro-
ject to display a timeline of the Federation
uniforms, it got me to thinking; I wonder
what Captain Archer would think of some of
the newer uniforms that came into effect
after his? So, I sent Riker back in time to
speak to Archer, and heres what he said:
With a lot of players returning to the game with the
release of Season 7, and new players also signing up
to STO, the servers have taken a bit of a pounding, and
some of us may have seen some lag, some disconnec-
tions, rubber banding etc. However, here in 12th, we
don’t make excuses, we just get on with it and get the
job done. Therefore, I find the comments from our
opponents a little distasteful:
Season 8 is slated for a May release, and we
have been teased that we will be getting another
adventure zone. An exploration revamp is also
planned, although not for S8. Star Trek, for me,
was about exploring. Meeting new races and the
like, that was the primary goal. I would love for
STO to follow suit, and truly allow us to dis-
cover new planets and cultures, although maybe
not in the way that Picard did...
Q’s Winter Wonderland is now closed for
business for another year. This year we had
PvP races, PvE races, fights with the abomi-
nable snowman, and I’m pretty sure I saw
people pelting their fellow fleet members in
the face with snowballs (you know who you
are...). I enjoyed the Wonderland, was some-
thing a bit different (though I’m delighted I
don’t need to run that race anymore!!). When
running the race, to make it a little more en-
joyable, I simply sang that well known song:
